Combatives Class

Unfortunately we have now called time on the monthly combatives class due to lack of interest. Thank you to everyone who came down to this class over the past year.

Master O'Brien and Sabumnim Taylor will now be making use of the time to plan and develop the next exciting chapter of Berkshire Martial Arts. Stay tuned to future newsletters for more details!

Uniform Reminders

Uniform standards are slipping, please ensure your are attending classes in the correct uniform or you may be prevented from training. Don't get caught out.

Shorts - As the weather warms up please remember that shorts are an optional extra to uniform. If you wish to wear shorts these must be official uniform shorts ordered through the club store. Only uniform trousers or BMA shorts are acceptable options.

Footwear - Students should be training barefoot in class or wearing thin soled shoes such as plimsolls or martial arts shoes. Normal outside footwear is not permitted to be worn in class. A selection of suitable shoes can be found in the club store.

Jewellery - No necklaces, bracelets, rings etc should be worn when training in class as they pose a risk of injury to yourself and others. Piercings can be taped up if you are unable to remove them, metal wedding rings can also be taped or replaced with a silicon alternative if you do not wish to remove them.

This Month's Grading

This month's colour belt grading will be held on Sunday 28th June in the Drama Studio at Brakenhale School, Rectory Lane, Bracknell, RG12 7BA . Further details will be provided to eligible students the week before the grading. The day will likely run to the approximate schedule below:

10am Black Belt Academy Class

11am - Grading Group 1

12pm - Grading Group 2

Exact grading groups and times will be confirmed the weekend before, once we know how many people are grading

All names below are eligible to grade this month and should have received an email confirming their eligibility. Please check your spam/junk folders if you have not received your email. To secure your place in the grading we must receive a completed colour belt grading registration form and payment by Friday 19th June.
